James A. Beams, 63, of Tallula, Illinois, died Saturday, February 28, 2004 at his home.
He was born March 12, 1940 in Kilbourne, Illinois, the son of James and Elsie Beams. He married Loretta Klauzer June 22, 1976.
Jim was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired as a communications technician with Ameritech in 1994.
Survivors include his wife Loretta, two daughters, Beth Hotaling and Lisa Hotaling of West Covina, California, a son, James Beams of Whittier, California, stepdaughter Vanessa Durham of Kilbourne, stepson Jason Johnson of Kilbourne, 13 grandchildren, a brother Charles "Butch" Beams of Kilbourne, and three sisters, Patty Atterberry, Bonnie Dick of Petersburg, Illinois and Betty Doyle of Pekin, Illinois.
Jimmy is buried in Kilbourne Cemetery.
