W. Jones Cole is Dead at 68 Years
HIGHTSTOWN, Sept 6 - W. Jones Cole, a life-long resident of this city, died at his home Friday night after a lingering illness, in the sixty-eighth year of his age. Mr. Cole was a son of the late Ezbon R. Cole, for many years a prominent citizen. He is survived by his widow and one daughter, Miss Mary J. Cole. The funeral services will be held at the home this afternoon. The Rev. Dr. O. P. Eaches will officiate. Mr. Cole was one of the oldest members of the Knights of Phythias, of this place. The interment will be made at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Allen & Stults. [Trenton Evening Times, Mon., 6 Sep 1909]

W. Jones Cole died on Friday evening, September 3, 1909, at his residence on Broad street, Hightstown, in the 68th year of his age, of marasmus. His funeral took place from his home on Monday at 2 p.m., Rev. O. P. Eaches, D. D., officiating. Interment at Cedar Hill cemetery. Mr. Cole was born and always lived in Hightstown and throughout his life has been busy as an agriculturist and trucker. He was known for his integrity and honesty. During the past few years he has been a great sufferer, and received careful attention and care from his wife and daughter, Miss Jennie, who survive him. [The Freehold Transcript, Fri., 10 Sep 1909]
