Nelda Gragg Greene, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at her residence in Hamptonville, NC. She was born in Avery County on October 4, 1941 to the late Windom Gragg and Vinie Coffey Gragg. She was married to Reverend Jimmy Mahan of the residence.
She was a loving Pastor's wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to everyone she met. Nelda loved the Lord and spent her life mentoring many of God's people. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano and worshipping the Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Reverend Jimmy Jerome Greene; sisters, Omie Coffey and Thelma Caldwell.
