On January 4, 2022, Corine Rhodes Jackson returned home to the loving arms of Our Heavenly Father. Corine was born on October 28, 1929, to Chapman W. Rhodes and Mary Jane Frazier Rhodes in Taliaferro County, Georgia, the youngest of 13 children. She was educated through the Greene County Public School System. She was raised primarily by her father and siblings, as her mother passed away when she was 10 years old.  She was known affectionately as "puppy," as she loved to play outside and had a genuine love of animals. She possessed both inner and outer beauty.

Corine accepted Christ at an early age at the Friendship Baptist Church in Crawfordville, Georgia. She later joined Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the true embodiment of Christ, always displaying love, kindness, joy, peace, faithfulness, gentleness, and goodness throughout all her days.

Corine joined in holy matrimony with Willard D. Jackson on April 11, 1948, after a four-year courtship. The couple relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio where they raised their five children. They remained married for 71 years until Willard's passing.

Corine was the essence of a homemaker, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She assisted her older sister, Ethel Mae Wilson, with her dry-cleaning business while simultaneously raising her family.  She prided herself in maintaining a pristine home and caring for others.  She poured her love into every task, including sewing and making her renowned dishes, cakes, and pies. Corine showed her children, her grandchildren, and every person whom she encountered unconditional love. She would constantly place her family's needs above her own. She was a patient teacher, thoughtful listener, and a wise counselor. She was the epitome of strength and courage, a calming presence during times of turmoil and pain. She valued family above all else, always available in times of need. We will cherish the memories of her sweet spirit and infectious smile.

Corine will be reunited in Heaven with her husband, Willard D. Jackson, her daughter, Judiffie "Judy" (Richard), her parents, and siblings, Esida Rhodes Edwards, Ethel Mae Rhodes Wilson, Geneva Rhodes Turner, Mamie Lee Rhodes, Minnie Rhodes Cunningham, Theresa Rhodes Todd, Uly Rhodes, Corry Rhodes, Hosea Rhodes and Esper (Bo) Rhodes.

Corine cultivated a legacy of strong men and women who will forever revere her.  She leaves to celebrate her memory her Four children, Gale (Richardine), Kenneth (Michele), Loretta (Kevin), & Gregory; thirteen grandchildren, Richard (Kelly), Keith (Krystal), Kenneth (Sandy), Kenan (Shawanda), Maiya (Edward), Raquel, Nikita, Kiah, Deja, Kameron (Brianna), Nia, Naya, and Kayla; Nineteen Great-Grandchildren, Eleven Great-Great Grandchildren, extended family, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Corine was a precious gift from the Lord. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
