MRS. ALICE A. BRIDGES DIES OF PARALYSIS
Formerly Proprietress of City Hotel - Was 54 Years Old - Native of Illinois

Mrs. Alice A. Bridges, who, for a number of years, conducted the City hotel on Hickory street, died this morning about 2 o'clock at the home of her son-in-law, Thomas Jordan, 104 East Lundy street.
Paralysis caused her death. She experienced three strokes, the first in Chicago three years ago, the second in Indiana about a year ago and the third last Sunday night.
Mrs. Bridges' maiden name was Cresswell. She was aged 54 years, 10 months and 4 days. She was born in Calhoun county, Illinois, and was there married to H.O. Bridges. After her marriage she and her husband resided at Girard and Dwight and then, about twenty-five years ago, came to Streator, where Mrs. Bridges lived much of the time until her death, she, for many years, conducting a hotel or boarding house here.
Surviving the deceased, besides her husband, are five children - Mrs. Jordan of this city, Roy of Bellaire, O.; Mrs. Howell Frampus and Mrs. Peter Gowe of Massillon, O., and James E., of Frankton, Ind.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon, with services at 2 o'clock at the residence of Mr. Jordan and interment in Riverwood [sic] cemetery.
