Dale resident Brooke Ellen Balbach died Friday, Dec. 14 at her home. She was 22.
Brooke was born May 15, 1985 to Leroy and Rita (Stephens) Balbach in Jasper. She had worked for Masterbrand.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John A. and Rosalee (Miller) Balbach; and her maternal grandfather, Charles E. Stephens.
Brooke is survived by her parents, Leroy Balbach of Petersburg and Rita Balbach of Dale; a grandmother, Faye Stephens of Dale; a sister, Christina Deorto of Dale; a brother, Brandon Balbach of Petersburg; two nephews; and a niece.
She was fourth months pregnant when she was murdered.
