☆☆☆☆~ Korean War Veteran ~☆☆☆☆

Jim joined the U.S. Navy in 1950 and served for four years during the Korean War.

He graduated from William Penn High School in Harrisburg in 1949. During his career, he attended Penn State-York, and several other schools to expand his knowledge in electronics. He was employed by AMP for 32 years where he was a Senior Metrologist, retiring in 1993. Jim enjoyed his retirement by traveling, crafting model planes and boats, leatherwork, etc. He was an active member and officer of the Appalachian Sports Car Club where he and his wife drove and won many road rallies. He was also an active member of the National AACA and the Hershey Region AACA for more than 30 years. He was a member of AFSCME and belonged to the Lawnton Legion for 41 years. Jim attended the Charlton U.M. Church of Lower Paxton Twp. Jim married in 1956 and raised one son. Jim was proud of his family, enjoyed caring for his grandchildren and having family gatherings. His loved his home of 51 years and often said he hoped he never had to move. Fortunately for all, and with the help of Homeland Hospice, his family and friends, his wish came true, and he died at his home.
