She was a retired beautician, having worked in Savannah and in Adamsville over the years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, flower gardening, sewing and painting.
Mrs. Young departed this life on January 22, 2022 in Stantonville, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 11 Months, 25 Days.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Earl Young of Stantonville, TN; son, Billy Ray Young and wife Anita of Morris Chapel, TN, a daughter, Teresa Kay Rinks of Adamsville, TN; two stepsons, Jeffrey Allen Young of Columbia, TN and James Earl Young of Adamsville, TN, a brother, Billy Smith of Adamsville, TN; a sister, Brenda Scott of Stantonville, TN; eight grandchildren: Courtney Young Ramirez and husband Carlos, Maegan Young (Matt Edgin), Lani Price and husband Steven, Logan Young and his wife Trixi, Lucy Young and Craig Young, Sofia Davis, Canon Smith; seven great grandchildren: Addie Carter, Mila Ramirez, Eden Edgin, Ian Ramirez, Ilah Ramirez, Ivy Ramirez, Odie Price; special hospice nurses, Melissa Kirk and Sherika Harris; her doctor, Nathan Kersey; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by two sisters, Avanell Smith Coggins Grant, Willie Elbertene Smith Gray; four brothers: Maynard Lee Smith, Jackie Lane Smith, Donald Eugene Smith, James Gary Smith.
