Born April 23, 1932 at home (Philipsburg RD) she was a daughter of the late Jesse Franklin and Rachel Clarissa (Harkless) Guyer.
Winnie was a 1950 graduate of Philipsburg High School and had worked at Bell Telephone, Philipsburg Hospital, Lock Haven University and Clearfield County Assistance Office. She was a member of the former Oak Grove United Methodist Church (now Rock United Methodist Church) and was involved with Christian Women and the Bible Study group at the church. Winnie enjoyed cooking, crocheting and gardening.
On June 7, 1953 at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, she married the Rev. Glenn P. Gearhart, who passed away March 29, 2009.
Winnie is survived by a son, Glenn "Rob" Gearhart of Philipsburg; daughters, Cindy Gearhart of Philipsburg and Cheri Sinclair of Bellefonte; a brother, Franklin J. Guyer and his wife Ruth Ann of Philipsburg; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; her beloved dog Zoey; and her best friend Donna Shields of Chester Hill.
In addition to her parents and husband, Winnie was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Ginnicks.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Mock's Hill Cemetery, West Decatur.
