Phil was born in New York to parents Carlos and Carmen Morales on November 8, 1948. He and my sister Tina were married in June 1974. They had one son; my nephew, Michael and divorced in the 1980's. In the 1970's Phil owned a few successful restaurants on Long Island, but eventually went into law enforcement and worked for the Stony Brook University Police Department for 25 years until his retirement in 2014. He and his second wife, Patty, then moved to sunny Miami, Florida.
Phil passed on October 29, 2021 at Baptist Hospital of Miami after a 12 year battle with prostate cancer. He leaves his wife of 21 years, Patty, his step-son, William, his son, Michael, daughter-in-law, Kayla, three granddaughters and one grandson. He is also survived by his brother Charlie, his sister Leah and his second family at the Stony Brook University Police Department.
