Hugh H. Cicotte

Ankeny - Hugh was born on August 5, 1929 and passed away on September 20, 2021.

A visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. and a memorial service at 3 p.m. on October 3, 2021 at Ankeny First United Methodist Church on Walnut.

He will be interred in Michigan at a later date.

Hugh was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during Korea.

He worked as an overhead crane operator for Great Lakes Steel for 47 years.

Hugh was united in marriage with Sylvia Mclellan on August 19, 1950. She preceded him in death.

On March 16, 2000 Hugh was united in marriage with Arletta Knight. His family and friends affectionately referred to him as Hugh-man. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather.

Hugh is lovingly remembered by his wife, Arletta; children: Steven (Kathleen) Cicotte, Daniel (Linda) Cicotte, and David (Katherine) Cicotte; stepchildren: Verna (John) Christopher, David (Michele) Kennedy, and William Kennedy; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Hugh's family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice for the excellent care they provided the past several months.
