Edmond T. Abbott, 74, died Saturday, August 10, 1991 at Akron City Hospital. He was Born in Rice, Virginia and attended the Virginia School for the Deaf.
Mr. Abbott retired in 1978 after working 36 years for Firestone Tire & Ruuber Company in the Tire Experimental Division. He was a member of the Goodyear His. Presbyterian Church and president of its Sunday School. A former president and secretary of the Akron Club of the Deaf, former board member with Family Services, member of Ohio Association of the Deaf #4, member of National Society of the Deaf #55.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia; daughter, Nancy Abbott of Landover, Md., two step-daughters, Nancy Sue Jefferson of Akron, and Betty Loy Gee of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; 8 step-grandchildren, 1 step great-grandchild; sister Frances Stockton of FarmVille, Va.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Adams Funeral Home where friends may call Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conduced by Dr. Harry Rose. Burial Hillside Memorial Park. (Adams, 535-9186)
