Mrs. Pearl Irene White, 1499 Ravinia Rd., operator of a grocery on Bridge Road, died early Wednesday at a Charleston hospital after a long illness.
She was a member of Christ Methodist church and widely known in the South Hills area.
The body was removed to Bartlett Mortuary pending funeral arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar M. White; a son, Milton of Charleston; a daughter, Mrs. William C. Garcelon of Charleston; a brother, Drayton Avera of Gainsville, Fla., and three half-brothers, Dr. J. B. Avera of Brunswick, Ga., Col. Ray Avera, USA, and W. N. Avera of St. Petersburg, Fla.
