Doris J. Sullivan, of White Plains, NY, died on December 2, 2007 after a lengthy illness. She was born on January 13, 1922 in White Plains to Percy and Edna Jones. She married Arthur (Dick) Sullivan in Glenview, CT on March 18, 1944. They remained devoted in their love even after Dick's passing. She was hopelessly devoted to her husband, the love of her life. The full moon was always the sign of their love. She remembered fondly a lifetime of ballroom dancing and travels with her husband of 48 years. Doris was known for a kindhearted nature and being there for their family and friends. Her grandchildren always held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister Jean. She is survived by her children, Arthur and wife Karen of Briarcliff Manor, NY, Stephen and wife Paulette of Key Largo, FL and Jean and husband Joseph of Cold Spring, NY. She was a loving grandmother to Joseph, Jamie, Matthew, Krista, Alyssa, and Amanda. She had two great-grandsons, Octavian and Ryan. Calling hours on Tuesday, December 4 are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Mc Elroy-Flynn Funeral Home, 72 Main Street (RT 119), Elmsford, NY. The Funeral is Wednesday, December 5 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 59 East Main St., Elmsford, NY.
