C. H. Fuller says in his pension app, that he enlisted in Oct 1863 and served with Company B of the 27th GA regiment. At the surrender in 1865, he was in the hospital in Columbus, Ga with Typhoid Pneumonia. Within the paperwork is a page that says he died in Bibb County on 1 July 1921. But death cert. says burial was in Ft. Valley, Ga.
The Macon Telegraph (Macon, GA) - 2 Jul 1921
C.H. Fuller, 73, died suddenly at his residence, 154 Carling avenue, at 1:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Mr. Fuller had been a resident of Macon for the past two years, moving here from Fort Valley. He was an employee of the Southland Knitting Mills. Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: Miss Annie Belle Fuller of Macon, Mrs. F. H. Smaw of Jacksonville, and J. B. and C. B. Fuller, both of Macon. Funeral services will be held this (Saturday) afternoon at 2 o'clock from Burghard's Chapel, 718 Cherry Street, Rev. G. D. Feagan, pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, officiating. The body will be taken to Fort Valley this afternoon, where interment will take place.
