He was educated at the Gothenburg Stage School and the Dramatic Institute of Stockholm, also having completed extensive studies within the arts at university. He spent most of his career directing a number of successful stage plays. In television he was known as a regular on a Swedish version of "Laugh-In" which premiered in 1969. In later years he starred in a series of television ads.
