Albert F. Petrarca, 96, passed away on January 27 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Elaine (Muratore).

Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Antonio and Martha (Verte) Petrarca.

Left to treasure a legacy of precious memories are his loving children Deborah Clark and husband Dana, Karen Siracusa, and husband Steven, David Petrarca, and fiancé Cece, Lisa Garvey, and husband Peter. "Poppa" to Melissa Conforto and husband Michael, Mia Williams and husband Brian, Matthew Siracusa and wife Meghan, Jessica Clark, Max Garvey, and Emma Garvey, and to 9 great-grandchildren.

He was very proud of his service in WWII in General Patton's 3rd Army 248 Engineer Combat Battalion. He fought in Normandy, Northern France, Battle of the Bulge, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

He loved the Yankees and Patriots and watched them faithfully. He loved to bowl, golf, and to take trips with his senior group. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was President of The Natick Senior Citizens Corp. His biggest passion was bringing his family together and creating everlasting memories they will cherish for generations. His smile was infectious and his love all-encompassing. He is a beautiful, gentle soul giving all of himself to everyone.

He was predeceased by his brothers Pasquale, Domenic, and John Petrarca, and his sisters Mary Centracchio, Louise Corrente, and Clara DiMascolo.

His Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, February 12 in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd, Warwick, RI. Burial with Military Honors followed in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation was held on Friday evening, February 11 at "Woodlawn" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave, Cranston, RI.

The family would like to thank VNA of Care New England, Hospice care, for their tender care. A special thank you to Cindy whose amazing care for Al went above and beyond.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his favorite charities Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
