Keri Haggerty Netzel

August 22, 1956 - September 4, 2021

The Netzel family sadly shares news of the passing of their mother Keri Haggerty Netzel on September 4, 2021.

Born in Pico Rivera, California (outside Los Angeles) in 1956, Keri recently celebrated her 65th birthday on August 22. She was raised in Hacienda Heights and graduated from Los Altos High School with the Class of 1974. The oldest of seven children, Keri at a young age shared her love for the beach, camping, rock concerts, stray animals, and Disco dancing with her six younger brothers and sisters while growing up.

Keri married Joseph Netzel in 1979 and together had three sons: Kristopher, Keith, and Sean. They remained married for about 20 years. In between Disneyland trips with her kids, Keri developed a passion for fitness that lasted throughout her life and included training and running 20 marathons across the United States. Later in her life, she dedicated much of her time to spoiling her three grandchildren Connor, Blake, and Stella, traveling from California to Hawaii, Arizona, and Georgia to visit them when not sending presents or connecting via the Internet.

A proud 15-year cancer survivor, Keri was known for her optimistic and uplifting attitude in support of all her friends and everyone she met. She succumbed to complications from Covid-19 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Keri is now with her angels in heaven – parents Gerald and Barbara Haggerty and brother Kevin Haggerty. She is survived by her sons Kris Netzel, Keith Netzel, Sean Netzel and her siblings Christine Haggerty, Kelly Hays, Kirk Haggerty, Kim Zylius, and Colleen Haggerty.

Keri was cremated and her ashes were divided between her sons.
