Cindy Lea Matthews Duvall 'GaGa', 65, of Fort Gibson was born October 27, 1956 in Stillwater, OK to Albert Ray and Barbara Jane (Wilson) Matthews and peacefully passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 with her loving family by her side.
Following Al's graduation from Law School, Cindy, along with her family moved to Muskogee where she attended Riverside Elementary, then Alice Robertson Jr. High and graduated with the class of 74' from Muskogee High School. In her adult life, Cindy had and raised three children while working at Acme Engineering for 16 years. She devoted all of her extra time to her kids and family. Cindy later bought and moved to the Ranch Home her parents built. She loved the country life, riding her tractor, working the livestock, and raising her horses. Her home was home to all. It was a rotating door at the "Big House". Birthdays, Holidays, summer days, whatever days. She loved to cook and host any and all events for her kids and family. Cindy also did a lot in her community. She volunteered at the Church, attended mission trips, school trips, book club, fundraisers and more. She loved going to the races, cross-country motorcycle trips, and traveling to all kinds of historical or exotic destinations. She was a 'June' of all trades.
In 2008, Cindy moved to Fort Gibson to be close to her greatest JOY…her grandkids. Of all the things she loved and spent her time doing, none compared to time spent with them. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Dan Matthews.
She is survived by her husband, Aaron of the home; her children, Tate Cole and wife Danai, Tyler Ladd and husband Robert, and Cara Kizzia and husband Dan'l all of Fort Gibson and Paige Turlington and fiancé Elvis Ripley of Tulsa; grandchildren, Courtni, Serin, and Rushton Cole, Chandler, Carson, and Kya Ladd, Aubri, Evy and Benley Kizzia; her siblings, Scott and Leigh Ann Matthews, Tammy and David Pierce, Tim and Cindy Matthews, Todd and Tammy Matthews, Brad and Alisa Matthews, Brian and Shannon Matthews; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
A celebration of Cindy's life will be 1PM Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Muskogee with Pastor Brian Matthews officiating. Tate Cole, Robert Ladd, Dan'l Kizzia, Chandler Ladd, Carson Ladd, Rushton Cole and Benley Kizzia will serve as honorary urn bearers.
The family of Cindy Lea Matthews Duvall has entrusted her care, cremation and service to Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home, Fort Gibson.
