Edgar Lee "Bill" Deeds, age 96, a retired paint contractor, died on Friday, January 21, 2022, at his home. He was born on January 13, 1926, in Rochelle, Texas, to Oliver Lee and Alma Ince Deeds.

Edgar lived most of his life in Shreveport, LA. He attended schools in Rochelle, Texas and was a WWII Veteran in the U.S. Navy. He worshiped at the Christian Center of Shreveport.

Edgar's favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing, but he loved fishing the most. His biggest fish weighed 7.11 oz!

Edgar was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sue Deeds; parents, Oliver and Alma Deeds; grandchildren, Brian Lacy, Rayjean Behrens, and Bray Behrens; and siblings, Mae Brown, Burel Deeds, and Sylvia Adams.

He is survived by his children, Jennagale Behrens, Marilyn Lacy, and Sammy Deeds; grandchildren, Shea Restovich, Trey Deeds, Jason Behrens, Jean Behrens, and Rachal Lacy; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held in Edgar's honor on Wednesday, January 26 at 11:00am at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave. Shreveport, LA 71103.
