Jenny (Jennie) Margarethe Lind was the oldest of five children born to Gustav William Lind and Carolina Mathilda Rebecka Danielson Lind. Gustav, who later went by William, and Rebecca were both Swedish immigrants who met and married in Manitowoc, WI. Their first three children were born in WI and the next two born in the Yankton area, following their move West in about 1869. After William's death in 1872, Rebecca married Michael Lynch and they had four children.
Jennie never married and lived in South Dakota, Oregon and finally in California. Jennie shares the gravestone with her half-sister, Nellie.
