Mr. Stavely, a native of Erin, was a son of the late Bert James and Josie Catherine Sexton Stavely. Mr. Stavely, a retired United Methodist minister, served several churches in Tennessee and Kentucky, including Reidland and Lone Oak. He retired in 1982.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Munford First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ricky Pinkston will officiate. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery in Dover, Tenn.
Surviving are his wife, Zantha Meadows Stavely; four sisters, Thelma Nopens of Mitchell, S.C., Martha Piroli of Aliquippa, Pa., Margie Wallace of Woodlawn, and Cone Ross of Milwaukee, Wis.; and one brother, James Stavely of Dover.
