Born in Cumberland, Md., he moved to Central Florida in 1952. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of We The People, Inc., DeBary, Lions Club, Jacksonville, N.C., lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors: wife, Ardrath, DeLand; daughters, Rosalind J. Hinesly Dee Olver, both of DeBary; sons, Edwin R., Blue Springs, Mo., Richard L., Ormond Beach; sisters, Anna Lee Roberts, Cumberland, Eleanora McKnight, Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, C.W. ''Jack,'' Edgewater; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. Lankford Funeral Home, DeLand.
