Max Warren Wofford, age 86 of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Tennessee State Veterans Home.


Max was born on November 23, 1935 in Dover, TN to the late Murray Wofford and Elizabeth Scarborough Wofford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Sidney Wofford, Lacy Wofford; sister, Bonnie Wofford Atkins and fur buddy Beauregard "Beau."


He is survived by his wife, Sara Allen Wofford; sons: Warren Lee (Cynthia) Wofford; step-son, Jerry Miller; daughters: Rita Wofford (Amy) Schaal, Connie Wofford Parkerson, step-daughters: JoAnn Rader, Janis Emery; brother, Bernard (Maxine) Wofford; grandchildren: Caitlyn Cain, Ethan Parkerson, Brenden Jackson, Brandon Rader, Brian Rader, John Emery, Sara Emery, Brad Miller, Allison Kilburn, 5 great grandchildren and fur baby Bella.


Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with CHP Steve Rogers officiating.


Pallbearers will be Brandon Rader, Trevor Bynum, Bruce Cain, Jerry Miller, Patrick Rader and Ethan Parkerson.


Arrangements are entrusted to Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
