Services for Edward Ray McMurtrey, 89, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Monty Baggett officiating. Interment will be at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery, Fallbrook, Calif.
McMurtrey died Aug. 25, 1998, in the local hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1908, at Atoka, to Joe and Mary R. Pratt McMurtrey.
Reared in Ardmore, he returned here from Oceanside, Calif., in 1988 where he was a saw operator for the Southern California Lumber Industry before he retired. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Oliver McMurtrey.
Survivors include a daughter Billie Jo Daniels, Moab, Utah; two half sisters, Wanda Sain, Melrose, N.M., and Christine Schoun, Bakersfield, Calif.; two half brothers, Woodrow Hoskins, Ft. Sumner, N.M., and Lee Long, Ardmore; a great-granddaughter; three great-great-grandsons; and a great-great-great-grandson.
