Daughter of Elijah Preston Knox and Catherine Abel, wife of Alexander McFadden, the son of Alexander and Anna McFadden, whom she married on March 14, 1871 in the Rectory of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Husband of Stephen De La Vergne, the son of Edwin De La Vergne and Antoinette Hughson, whom she married before 1880, and mother of William Alexander and James Tell De La Vergne.

Wife of Henry B. Boss, the son of Henry Boss and Eliza Kemper, whom she married on October 18, 1887, in Manhattan, New York, and mother of Walter Caspar Boss.

Marriage - On Tuesday, March 14, 1871 Alexander McFadden, of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., the son of Alexander and Anna McFadden, and Frances Ann Knox, of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., the daughter of Elijah P. and Catherine Knox, were married in the Rectory of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, by R.H. Williamson, officiating clergy, witnessed by the Rector's family and two others present.

Marriage - Frances De La Vergne, widowed, born in Wilkesbarre, Pa., the daughter of Elijah P. Knox and Catherine Abel, and Henry Boss, aged 33, single, born 1854 in Germany, the son of Henry Boss and Eliza Kemper, were married on October 18, 1887 in Manhattan, New York.

Obituary - Frances A. Boss, formerly a resident of Brooklyn, died yesterday in her seventieth year at her home in Patchogue. The funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Lefferts Place Chapel, 86 Lefferts Place. Interment Saturday will be under the direction of Fairchild Bros.
