Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Stewart Luker, age 86 of Lineville, will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. Jerry Colquett officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay County Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Luker passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at her home. Born in Chester, South Carolina, she lived in Calhoun County for 31 years and lived in Clay County for the last 36 years. A loving wife, mother and grandmother; Mrs. Luker was a wonderful homemaker that enjoyed many things. She mostly enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles and was a great cook. She also used to help her son raise Wolf Hybrids, which she loved to do. Mrs. Luker also enjoyed reading and occasionally watching Alabama football. Mrs. Luker was a member of Lineville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Paschal Luker of Lineville, her daughter, Pamela Moersch (Rick) of Jacksonville, two sons, Pat Luker (Sharon) of Weaver and Michael Luker of Lineville, three grandchildren, Christopher Luker (Jessica), Chad Luker, Jessica Wiley (Shane) and one great-granddaughter, Ella Wiley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Stewart and Lumay Jacobs Stewart, two sisters, Violet Bollinger and Daisy Cole, and her brother, Fred Stewart.
