Pauline was born in Farnham Virginia. She was the fraternal twin of Lurline H. Pugh Beuchelt. Her parents were William Hamilton Pugh & Rosa Bell Bevis Pugh. Her siblings were Hamilton, Lottie Pugh Brent, Evelyn A. Pugh Lankford, Edna Isabelle Pugh Barrack Ferrier , Wesley Pugh, Logan G. Pugh, and John Weymouth Pugh. She married first to Morris Oscar Trott on February 22, 1942 but divorced in 1945. She married second to Frank Crouse in December 23, 1947. They lived in Brooklyn Park, MD. Frank died suddenly when they were visiting family in Virginia in 1959. Pauline never could recover from the loss. She never married again and had no children. She lived next door to her older sister Edna Ferrier(my grandmother). She was fond of chihuahuas and had several over the years. She had diabetes and at age 59 went into a nursing home for the remainder of her life. She resided there longer than anybody else before she died in 2001.
