There is no record of his burial in Lindenwood, but his obituary states that his remains were brought to Ft. Wayne. The obituary of his wife, who died just a few months later, reads that her remains were resting beside those of her husband in Lindenwood. Peltier Funeral Home records also show that he was interred in Lindenwood.

It appears that he was at one time a very prominent business leader of Ft. Wayne. It is surprising that his grave is not marked.

He was one of the incorporators of Lindenwood Cemetery:
The incorporators were Jesse L. Williams, Hugh McCulloch, Charles D. Bond, David F. Comparet, Royal W. Taylor, Allen Hamilton, Alexander M. Orbison, John E. Hill, Phiny Hoagland, Alfred D. Brandriff, Ochmig Bird, and Isaac D. G. Nelson.

18 May 1869 Mary S. Orbison vs. Alexander M. Orbison, decree, Circuit Court, Civil Order Book Q, pg. 181-182 (Divorce filing). They re-married on March 10, 1880, in Sturgis, St. Joseph Co., MI.
