James Eric Aberle, 49 of Fairbury passed away at 2:50 pm, Sunday, February 13, 2022 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.

His funeral will be 11 am, Monday, February 21, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Fairbury with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating. Burial will follow in South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.

Visitation will be 3 to 7 pm, Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family of James E. Aberle.

Jamie was born August 14, 1972 in Fairbury; the son of Mark and LaVerne (Martin) Aberle. He married Kara Stephens on April 20, 2002 in Fairbury. His wife Kara, survives in Fairbury.

Also surviving are his children, Nicholas and Nathan Aberle, both of Fairbury; his mother, LaVerne Aberle of Chatsworth; siblings, Susan Huber of Mooresville, NC; Shane (Sarah) Aberle of Mahomet; Shawn (Tami) Aberle of Forrest; Bryan (Lisa) Aberle and Marcus Aberle both of Chatsworth; Ashley Aberle of McAllen, TX; Kevin Aberle of Chatsworth; brother in-law, Clint (Crissy) Stephens of Fairbury; sister in-law, Emily Braun of Fairbury; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Aberle on May 30, 2017.

Jamie loved racing, watching his boys play football and baseball, and spending time with his family, whether it be family dinner or working on projects with his brothers.

He truly loved his job and his concrete crew. He loved working outdoors and had perfected his craft of concrete finishing. He is irreplaceable and will be deeply missed.
