Joyce graduated from Central High School in 1974. She went on to have a long career as a legal assistant working at Berger & Berger in Evansville, Steele, Steele, and Steele in Bedford, IN, Marguerite Shreve in Bloomington, IN, Rich Eynon in Columbus, IN, Stoll, Keenon, Ogden in Louisville, KY, and. Joyce enjoyed quilting, reading, and photography.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 43 years, Gary M. Schaar; daughters, Christen Stanley and husband, James, and Jenni Schaar; grandchildren, Felix Stanley and Maxwell Stanley; and brothers, Alan Woodruff, and wife, Anne, and Bruce Woodruff, and wife Lesa.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday February 18, 2022 at Old North UMC 4201 Stringtown Rd. Evansville, IN, with entombment in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
