Edith R. Bledsoe, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at her residence.
She was born in Fayetteville, Tennessee but at an early age moved to Chattanooga where she was reared. Edith was a devoted and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus. She was a graduate of Howard High School, class of 1954.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Sims Bledsoe, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Joshua W. Burney, II, Pamela E. Higginbotham, and Angela G. Cuff; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Edith will lie-in-state on Saturday, March 5 after 9:00 A.M. at Taylor Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of funeral home with Elder William Craig as the eulogist.
Interment: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
