He was a WWII veteran serving as a Tech Sergeant. After returning from service he married his late wife Laura Belle Pendergrass and worked and retired from the US Postal service. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, gardening and was an OSU Sooners fan.
He is survived by his grandson, Brandon Jones of Tyler and many relatives and friends. In addition to his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his daughter; Lisa Jones, sisters; Ruth, Florine and Margie.
A mausoleum graveside service for Henry will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Tyler Memorial Cemetery & Mausoleum, Tyler Memorial Cemetery, 12053 State HWY 64 West, Tyler, TX 75704.
