Sadie R. Richardville, 70, 313 S. Third St., died at 6:15 p.m. Monday at her home. She was a homemaker and formerly operated Richardville's Grocery with her husband Clarence (Frenchie) who survives.
She was born on March 28, 1908, in Knox County, to Jack and Bertha (Henderson) Fortner and was a member of the Old Cathedral Catholic Church.
Also surviving are sons, Jack and Don Richardville, both of Vincenens; daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Joan) Hughes, Vincennes; Mrs. Mark (Judy) Runkel, Mooresville, and Mrs. Steve (Jane) Nowaskie, Vincennes; brothers, Ray, Kenneth, Robert and Thomas Fortner, all of Vincennes; sisters, Mrs. Forrest (Mary Sue) East and Mrs. Glenn (Grace) Mahrenholz, both of Vincennes; 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A son, one brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
A Mass of the resurrection will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Old Cathedral Church with burial to be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Duesterberg Funeral Home with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m.
