Anthony "Tony" James McDiarmid, 50, of Kingsley, died Monday, February 14, 2022, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born February 14, 1972, in Ann Arbor, the son of Kenneth McDiarmid and Aimee Andrews.

Tony was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during Operation Desert Storm. Following his honorable discharge, he worked in flooring, both in sales and installation. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a good cook and loved watching Red Wings hockey.

Tony is survived by: his wife, Kelly (Maher) McDiarmid; children, Michael, Zachary, and Samantha McDiarmid; mother, Aimee Andrews; siblings, Kris (Amber) McDiarmid, Jozef McDiarmid, April Mae McDiarmid, and Dawn McDiarmid; and stepsons, Samuel and Ethan Cady.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Kenneth McDiarmid; and grandparents, Wesley McCollum and Esther McDiarmid.

Memorial services will be held in the spring.
