Rita Forsyth, 66, of Findlay, passed away at 9:17 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2022, at her residence. She was born on June 30, 1955, in Akron to the late Coleman and Lucille (Ross) Wilson. She married Jeffrey Forsyth on April 28, 1972, and he survives.

Rita is also survived by her son, Eric (Brooke) Forsyth of Findlay; daughter, Shawna Forsyth of Findlay; brother, Donald Wilson of Port St. Lucie, FL; uncle, Bobby (Janice) Wilson of Lakeland, FL; and her beloved grandchildren: Landon and Ainsley Forsyth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, William Wilson.

Rita was a Hancock County Sheriff's Special Deputy and member of the Mounted Posse in the 1990's. She was also a member of the Church of God. Rita's wonderful personality and smile lit up the room when she walked in.

Though it is heartbreaking, it's also reassuring that Heaven is even more Heavenly now. Though we hurt here on earth, we find comfort that she has no more pain, no more sorrows and is celebrating and rejoicing in Heaven while you read this.

Mom passed those pearly gates and entered the Kingdom of God. Her unwavering faith in God and love for her family is something that doesn't end when she is gone from her earthly body. Her Faith and Love will continue in her new Heavenly body more so than ever.

She fought the fight that many could or would not. She endured some of the unfathomable and truly showed all of us what true GRIT is. She was our Warrior in a Garden.

She is the best Mother, The Best "Mamaw" and let me tell ya how she LOVES her Grandbabies!!

She is an absolute Best Friend, Loving Wife and Supporter of Ministry with Pastor Jeff Forsyth.

You will be missed so much by all of us in our days on this earth but we know you're helping watch over all of us up in Heaven just like you did here.

When our feet touch the clouds... We LOVE You!!

Thank you all for the love, support and prayers...

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Findlay First Church of the Nazarene, with Bishop Terry McBeath officiating. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.
