Dorothy worked as a cook at Anthony Wayne High School for almost 30 years retiring in 2004. She enjoyed going to Casinos and playing card games with family and friends. Dorothy was also a babysitter for many years. Everyone knew and loved her as "Nonnie".
Dorothy is survived by her husband Richard, her daughter Paige (Thomas) Lewis of Medina, Kimberly (Bob) Kovar of Holland, and Shelly Keifer of Whitehouse, her granddaughters Brittany (Beccah) Albright, Katie Lynn (Austin Skinner) Taber, Amber (Nick Schiavone) Thomas and her sister Betty (Ralph ) Studer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son in law Brian Taber, her brothers Robert and Roger (JoAnn) Elendt, and her sisters Marie (Harry) Walters and Margaret (Richard) Rice.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday February 24 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Peinert Dunn Funeral Home, 6603 Providence St. Whitehouse, OH. Funeral services will follow at 12 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Whitehouse Cemetery.
In Dorothy's memory donations are encouraged to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
