Grady Hogshead died at his home near Vanderpool after a lingering illness June, 10, 1937, aged about 45. Several years ago he was married to Miss Mary Ginger who with two children survive. He also leaves his father, three sisters and three brothers. Services were conducted by Rev. J. H. Light of Monterey at Wesley Chapel church. Interment in cemetery nearby - Primrose.

A wedding of interest to their friends in this county is that of Miss Mary Ginger of Hightown and Mr. Grady Hogsett of Vanderpool, which was solemnized on Wednesday, Aug. 31st. In the presence of a group of friends and relatives of the bride and groom, the ceremony was performed by Rev. A. E. Johnson, at the manse in Monterey.

Mrs. Clyde W. Auldridge and Miss Mattie Hogsett, of Mill Point, and Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Hogsett spent Sunday at Vanderpool, Virginia, with their brother, Grady Hogsett, who is very ill. They were accompanied by Bernard Totten, of Mill Point.

A wedding of interest to friends here took place Saturday evening, July 21st, when Mrs. Mary M. Hogsett and Mr. William F. Simmons were married by the Rev. L. P. Foley at the Parsonage. The bride has been employed at the Star restaurant (Monterey) for some time and the bridegroom, also of this place is engaged in work here. Friends called at the home of the the bride's mother, Mrs. Ginger on Monday night to serenade them.
