VELMA N. DEWITT

The funeral for Velma N. DeWitt, 94, of Wichita, Kan., will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wentworth Mortuary Chapel. Chaplin Steve Ward, and Rev. Bonnie Wilkinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, north of Carmen.

She was born March 30, 1911. at Carmen to Floyd and Louella Robinson and died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, in Wichita.

She married Raymond DeWitt in 1929, and they made their home in Carmen. In 1951, they moved to Wichita where she resided till her death.

She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Dean of Wichita, Harvey of DeMoines, Wa, Gene of Cherokee; one daughter Carol Salter of Wichita; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Raymond, she was preceded in death by one sister, and one grandson.
