James Robert "Jimmy" Wickham III, 60, of Bardstown, passed away Tuesday February 22, 2022 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was born October 16, 1961 in Nelson County, an employee for Independent Stave for 31 years, a Kentucky Colonel, on the Bourbon Festival Board for 20 years, inducted the Bourbon Hall of Fame in 2008, inducted into the Order of the Writ, was known as "Coach" by his golfing team, loved sports, and an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Shirley Carrico Wickham; brother, John Pratt "Jay" Wickham; maternal grandparents, Victor and Lorena Carrico; and paternal grandparents, Bob and Ellen Wickham.
He is survived by his loving companion, Mary Nally; sister, Mary Ellen (Pat) Werner all of Bardstown; three nephews, Tommy Wickham, Drew Werner, and Ben Werner; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Saturday February 26, 2022 at Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Rev. Terry Bradshaw will officiate.
