Mr. Scott was born February 1, 1928 in Gallatin to the late John D. Scott, Sr and Loma Young Scott. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Ed Scott (Estelle), Joe Scott (Cora), Hugh Scott (Betty), and Henry Scott (Cheryl); and sister, Betty Ann Meador (Billy). He is survived by wife of 72 years, Nettie Sue Ralph Scott of Hendersonville; son, John C. Scott (Carolyn) of Hendersonville; and 2 grandchildren, Abbey Scott and Grace Scott. Mr. Scott served our country in the United States Navy during the WWII era. He retired from Ford Glass Plant in 1990. Mr. Scott was a farmer his entire life and returned to his love of farming after retirement.
