On January 24, 2022 Stanley David Cook died peacefully at his home Belfair, Washington, he was 81 years old. He was a Veteran and Retired Honolulu Police Officer.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Fe of 42 years, 4 children Naomi (Henry), Charlie (Chantal), Emi, Maya (Joe), 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held February 23, 2022 at Oahu Cemetery Chapel, visitation at 9:30am with service to follow at 10:30. Arrangements Provided By: Oahu Mortuary.

On August 31, 1994, Officer Cook was confronted during a routine traffic stop by a driver who was holding a loaded AK-47. Officer Cook survived the deadly shootout after he was shot eight times. Shortly thereafter, Officer Cook returned to duty.
A year later, Officer Cook helped to create a reenactment video that was used for training and awareness. Officer Cook retired from the Honolulu Police Department in 1999.
The thoughts and prayers of the HPD 'ohana are with the entire Cook family at this time.
