Edward Lee Eden, age 88 of Clayton, Oklahoma passed away from this life on February 20th, 2022 in Antlers, Oklahoma. Edward was born on April 4th, 1933 to Bertha (Cartwright) and Fred Eden in Rattan, Oklahoma. He married Viola Martina (Mickel) on February 21st, 1952 in Rattan, Oklahoma and they began their life journey together. Their marriage bore three children. Gerldean, Velma, and Jo Lee. Edward was a hard worker and a great provider for his family. He worked many different jobs, both in California and in Oklahoma. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, especially planting fruit trees. He was very proud of his 5in1 apple tree. Edward will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Edward is survived by his wife of the home, Viola Martina Eden; daughters, Gerldean Martina Haffner of Antlers, OK, and Velma Jean and husband Cloise McIntyre Jr. of Clayton, OK; grandchildren, Christy Miller and husband Frank of Antlers, OK, John Heffner and wife Stephanie of Antlers, Justin Eden and wife Tina of Antlers, OK, Joey Eden and wife Tonya of Antlers, OK, Heidi Johnson and husband Justin of South Dakota, Donald McIntyre and wife Amber of McKinney, TX, Marie Cossey and husband Aaron of McKinney, TX, Michelle McIntyre of Clayton, OK, and Crystal Durant and husband Brent of Clayton, OK; thirteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; siblings, Joe Eden of Antlers, OK, Joyce Riley-Hurlburt of Conway, AR, Wanda Sharp of Tulsa, OK, Laverne Harmon of Gilmer, TX as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Edward is preceded by his son, Jo Lee Eden; siblings, Helen Brock, Edward Eden, Harold Eden, Charles Eden, and Alice Clapp; parents, Fred and Bertha Eden.
Pallbearers will be Donald McIntyre, John Edward Heffner, Joey Eden, Justin Eden, Frank Miller, and John Miller.
Honorary Pallbearers are Frank Jones. Bucky Jones, and Aaron Cossey.
Services will be on Friday, February 25th at 10:00AM at New Hope Harvest Church in Clayton, Oklahoma with Bro. Lyndon Howze and Bro. Jim Collier officiating. Burial will follow at Corine Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
