Richard Buck for many years owned the CITGO station on School Street. His friends were numerous, he was very loved by those in his circle. He served in the US Navy during WWII from 26 Sept 1945 until 10 June 1949. He and his wife Drue had 5 children, Richard H, Teri J, Danny T, Chris C, and Shannon B.

He once said he had to make a choice between buying a motorcycle or marrying Drue Terrell Buck. He said he never looked back, it was the greatest and best decision of his life.
