Roberta married my uncle Hayden Reed Newton 18 Aug 1960 in Itta Bena, Leflore County, Mississippi. They married in our living room. They had three beautiful children, Shirley, Jo Ann and Hayden Reed, Jr.
For many years they lived near and then in Charleston, Tallahatchie County, Mississippi.
Roberta was a very beautiful, friendly and sweet Lady whom everyone loved. She will be missed.
She was cremated and her ashes, or half of them, will be buried with her husband in Magnolia Gardens, Paynes, Tallahatchie County, Mississippi.
