Born in Pine Forge, he was a son of the late Kryder and Anna (Lessig) Levengood.
He was employed as a kiln fireman 28 years at Robinson Clay Products Co., until his retirement in 1964.
Surviving with his widow are four sons, Wallace, 24 River Road, South Pottstown; Frank, Leidy Road, Gilbertsville; Elmer M., 322 Chestnut St.; Elmer G., at home; three daughters, Minerva, wife of Donald Hilbert, St. Lawrence.
And, Helen, 116 Walnut St.; Theresa, at home; a brother, Wilson, Bryton Avenue, South Pottstown; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Dooley, Newtown Square; Mrs. Anna Chapis, Reading, and 12 grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be Thursday from Houck Funeral Home, North Charlotte and Grace streets.
The Rev. Donald Ottinger, pastor of Searles Memorial Methodist Church, will officiate.
Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
