Hack was born on July 2, 1963 to Billie Joe Ballew and Charline Ehrlich Ballew in Muskogee, OK. Billie Joe was ecstatic to finally have that baby boy that he had always wanted. Charline always said that Hack was her child who stood beside her with a smile on his face. He would not reach out to hug her but was waiting for her to reach out to him with a hug that he always welcomed.
Contrary to public opinion, Dirk was not the only wrestler in the family as Hack also wrestled but ended up in a body cast for over a month due to his wrestling aspirations. After graduating from Edmond High School in 1981, Hack went on to study at Oklahoma State University. He kickstarted his career in Longview, Texas where he worked for 30 years in the water industry and ended up as the Facility Manager at Veolia Water in Overton, Texas.
Hack was a loyal person, as we all know, through some of his shenanigans with Dirk. He enjoyed darts and was quite good at it as he won many tournaments as well as played in a darts league. In 1999 Hack met Rhonda and went on to have three beautiful children, Cheyanne Taylor, Colton Wayne and Dakota LewDawn. Hack's favorite past time was, of course, spending time with his children either hunting or fishing or just hanging out.
Hack was predeceased by his father, Billie Joe Ballew; mother, Charline Ballew; and brother, David Osthoff. He is survived by his children Cheyanne, Colton, and Dakota of Henderson, TX; brother Dirk Ballew and wife Amelia of Oklahoma City, OK; sister Amanda McGoldrick of Florida; nephews Chase Ballew, Billy Ballew, Eric and Justin Tilford; and niece Abigail Ballew.
