Ethel Nickles Grammer, 76, died Feb. 7, 1986 in St. Elizabeth Hospital where she had been a patient nine days. Born in Fowler, she spent most of her life in Lafayette. She was married in 1950 in South Bend to William Earl Grammer; he died in 1964. She formerly owned and operated Lafayette Baths and Treatment Parlors from her home. Surviving are a daughter, Virginia (Mrs. William) Geary of Calhoun, GA; and a sister, Lula (Mrs. Halbert) McCracken of Lafayette. Service Feb. 9 in Hippensteel Chapel, Pastor Donald Short officiating. Internment Dayton Cemetery.
