mr.Bumpus served in the army and recevied the National Defense Service Medal. Mr.bumpus loved his long saturday rides on his motorcycle, with his wife Christel and his motorcycle buddies,he especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Richard Michael Bumpus, 55, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, March 24, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be in Cookeville Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday, March 23, from 3-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Bumpus died Monday, March 19, of leukemia at VA Hospital in Nashville.
He was born Sept. 26, 1951, in Clarksville to the late Norris and Mona Bumpus.
Mr. Bumpus served in the Army and received the National Defense Service Medal. He worked as a machine operator at Metcom Inc. for two years and at Precision Printing, a division of Budweiser, for 16 years in Clarksville.
Mr. Bumpus enjoyed his long Saturday rides that he and his wife took with his motorcycle buddies, breakfasts at the Dipsy Doodle, his good friends at Metcom and especially his grandchildren.
His family includes his wife, Christel L. Bumpus of Cookeville; two daughters and sonsinlaw, Marlaina and Jeff Stoddard of Rapid City, S.D., and Sarah and Jeff Shelton of Clarksville; two stepsons and stepdaughtersinlaw, Shawn and Kellie Keller of Chandler, Ariz., and Kevin and Michelle Keller of Cookeville; sister and brotherinlaw,
Mary Howard and Dale Shelton of Columbia; three aunts, Lena, Beatrice and Ruby Neal Bumpus; six cousins, Buddy, Bobby, Ted, Vickie, Dorothy and Sarah; three grandsons, Tal Stoddard of Rapid City, Dylan Shelton of Clarskville and Isaac Keller of Candler, Ariz.; and granddaughter Lauren Keller of Chandler, Ariz.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bumpas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Jennie Bumpas of Clarksville.
