Obituary from flammfh.com:
Our dearest Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend returned home to the loving arms of her dear husband, her Savior, and her Father in Heaven on March 5, 2022 in St George, Utah at the age of 91.
She was born on April 3, 1930 to Vivian and Pontel Harris. She had a wonderful childhood in Sugar City with her parents and 8 brothers and sisters.
She married her eternal companion, Tedd Rider Holman on July 16th, 1947 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were married for 70 years on earth and counting. Bonnie will be remembered for her loving and caring nature. She loved and served everyone she met! She was a very hard worker and had immeasurable energy! She especially enjoyed building their homes together with Tedd and working on many building and remodeling projects for their children and grandchildren.
One of her greatest joys was working in her yard. She had a beautiful garden and many gorgeous flowerbeds. She loved to share her abundant produce and flowers and many of her neighbors and friends were recipients of these wonderful talents.
She was an amazing cook and loved to hold family gatherings and parties at her home. She enjoyed making quilts and sew clothing for her family and friends. One of her favorite projects was sewing dresses for children in Africa. She loved driving truck in the potato harvest and did this for many years.
She and Tedd owned a chicken business and a book bindery store in Sugar City. Bonnie ran a day-care business in her home for many years. One of her favorite things to do was camping in the mountains with her family. She was famous for her dutch oven chicken!
She loved to go with Tedd when he went fishing and hunting! She loved riding her bike with Brad and loved to travel. One of her favorite trips was to Jerusalem. She and Tedd served two missions for the church. They served in the Coventry, England mission, as well as Jackson, Mississippi. They also served together for many years in the Idaho Falls Temple. They worked together for years doing genealogy. They put together six family history books. This was a labor of love because it took years to accomplish. She wrote everyday for over 50 years in her journals and has over 30 hand written books.
Our mother was such an incredible lady! She loved life with every fiber of her being! Her family meant everything to her, along with the gospel. She was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She cherished her testimony and lived the gospel in every thought, word, and deed. She held many callings in the church. She was a Relief Society President and teacher. She loved serving in the Primary and enjoyed her calling as Stake Relief Society President at Ricks College. One of her favorite callings was the ward camp director. She loved the gospel and lived her religion every day of her life!
Bonnie was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Tedd, her parents, Viv and Pontel Harris, her brother, Dee Harris (Janene), sister, Cleola Schofield (Bob), sister-in-law, Ganene Harris (Harold), a granddaughter, Sasha, and a grandson, Kevin.
She is survived by her six children: Ken Holman (Donna), Randy Holman (Siri), Linda Stoddard, Lori Fleming (Tom), Brad Holman, Dustin Holman, and Duwaine Boone (Bernice), a foster son. And her greatest treasures and blessings, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, in Sugar City at the Gray Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, at Flamm Funeral Home and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at the Gray Church, prior to services.
